OUR MISSION
…to end cat hunger and cat overpopulation in Pinellas County by providing daily feeding, care and protection to feral, stray and abandoned cats, and by offering information and resources to help others support these goals.
HISTORY
Kim’s Cat Crusade has been in existence for 10 years, starting as a one-woman effort. After spending countless hours and her own money, Kim and her volunteers grew the effort into a formal nonprofit organization, so it can better serve the hundreds (likely thousands) of uncared for and unsheltered feral, stray and abandoned cats in Pinellas County.
Kim’s Cat Crusade has recently been approved by the Internal Revenue Service for a 501(C)(3) nonprofit status, and we are now beginning the exciting, but challenging tasks of setting up this new organization.
TODAY
Today, Kim’s Cat Crusade is still an all-volunteer organization. EVERY DAY a dozen + volunteers travel around south Pinellas County feeding feral, stray and abandoned cats. The cats are spread out, located in more than 40 colonies.
Kim’s Cat Crusade “organization” is working hard to formalize the organization and to secure donation of MUCH NEEDED cat food and supplies. We are reaching out to major vendors and pet food banks. We also are reaching out to strong supporters who continue their financial support to keep us going strong.
